Twig snakes live only in Africa. In this video we show the Southern twig snake (Thelotornis capensis). It is a deadly venomous snake with rear fangs. Twig snakes are colubrids with hemotoxic venom. There is no antivenom available so bites are potentially fatal, blood transfusions can help. We rescued this Twig snake from a garden in Durban, South Africa. After the filming we released it into its natural habitat.
