Man records snake devouring a cockatoo while hanging from the roof of his house

A man photographed the moment when a python hanging from the roof of a house was devouring a white cockatoo.

Gary Montagner, who lives in Cairns, Australia, began to hear noises coming from the patio of his house and when he went out to check what it was, he found a python hanging from the gutter while it was suffocating and devouring a moderately sized white cockatoo.

Montagner portrayed the moments when the snake was just beginning to swallow the bird until the moment when it had already ingested the entire body of its prey.

The Australian shared the images on social media and explained that it is common for him to see snakes hiding in his gutter waiting to devour birds and even stated that his neighbor lost her pet cat because it fell prey to one of the pythons that abound in her neighborhood.
