Famed clock maker Frank Herschede of Herschede Hall Clock Co. commissioned Cincinnati architect Samuel S. Godley to design the elegant family residence for his wife, Sadie, and their children. The 8,500 square foot freestone mansion was completed in 1908 and remained in the family until 1952. Elegant old world craftsmanship with original pocket doors, hand carved mouldings, stained glass, bronze staircases and a third floor ballroom will transport you to another era. The main floor hosts a grand entrance hall leading to a double-winged staircase highlighted by bronze railings and a substantial stained glass window on the landing.
