This beautiful old farm house was built in the mid 1800’s around 1850-1856, in a small once thriving community in the early twentieth century. Built for a modestly wealthy agrarian family who farmed cotton, timber, and other crops. In the early 1900’s the house was expanded in the back and given a large wraparound porch in the front. Over the years the house had subsequent updates and remodels over the years but still retains much of its original character. Apparently a man was attempting a restoration in the 1990’s but passed away before could finish. Now this old destitute relic of days gone by sits shelled and lonely, rotting in its copse of trees along the road, brooding on the passing world.
